Privacy Notice

Last updated: 16 August 2026

CrashReport UK is a claim-support tool. Accident information is mainly stored on the user’s device. It is not an insurer, emergency service, medical service or legal adviser.

Information you choose to enter

The app may process accident date and time, approximate or precise location, descriptions, vehicle and insurer details, contact details, witness information and photographs. Some of this may concern other people. Only enter information that is relevant and that you are entitled to record.

Where information is stored

Report data is primarily stored locally in the browser on the device. Clearing browser storage, changing device or uninstalling the app may remove it. A report is sent elsewhere only when the user chooses to download, share or transmit it.

Device permissions

Camera, photo and location permissions are requested only when the relevant feature is used. Permission can be refused or withdrawn in device settings.

Payments and analytics

Stripe processes premium payments under its own privacy notice. Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity may process technical usage information such as page views, device type and interactions, subject to consent and their respective policies. CrashReport UK does not receive full card details.

Retention and deletion

Users can clear report data within the app or browser. Downloaded or shared copies are controlled by the user and the recipient. Payment records are retained by Stripe and as required for accounting and legal obligations.

Your rights

UK data protection law may provide rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. Because most report information remains on the user’s device, CrashReport UK may not hold a server copy that can be retrieved.

Safety

Do not use the app while driving or where doing so would be unsafe. Call 999 or 112 for an emergency.
